The government confiscates and seizes vehicles every day of the year. These seized vehicles are auctioned off at different locations around the country. These seized cars are obtained under various circumstances so you are assured to find the type of vehicle you're looking for. 

Cars seized during drug busts by the DEA can often times be very expensive vehicles while cars that are seized by the IRS may be much more mainstream. There are also jurisdictions where the police automatically impound cars when their owners were arrested with a DUI (Driving Under the Influence).
